Lately we have been working on a ton of KZs and that's a good thing. The Kawasaki KZs were one of the most high performance bikes of the 70s (if not the highest performance). Not only are the Kawis good performance bikes, they have also held their value well throughout the years. While we see a ton of KZs they seem to be relatively underused as "customs" or cafe bikes.
Dwayne's bike might be one of the coolest KZs Iv seen. Every inch of this bike looks like it means business. As you can see its been completely rebuilt. Dwayne also added tons of performance parts, the most notable parts being:
- Keihin 38mm CR carbs
- TRAC swingarm
- Custom wheels using aluminum sun rims with stainless spokes
- Dual disk upgrade
- External oil cooler
- Vance and Hines exhaust
This bike isn't lacking the small details either. Dwayne had us vapor hone and powder coat parts all over this bike. The result is a bike that looks like it rolled off the line yesterday.
31,xxx miles and looks better than most new bikes. Take notes guys, this is how you care for a motorcycle. Dwayne also has a set of Ohlins waiting to go on this bike, go figure. If you come out to one of our shop rides this summer, maybe you'll catch a glimpse of Dwayne.
