Lately we have been working on many KZ's, and that's a good thing. The Kawasaki KZ's were one of the highest performing bikes of the 70's (if not the highest performing). Not only are the Kawi's good performance bikes, they have also held their value well throughout the years. While we see a ton of KZ's, they seem to be relatively underused as "customs" or cafe' bikes.
Dwayne's bike might be one of the coolest KZ's we've seen. Every inch of this bike looks like it means business. As you can see, it's been completely rebuilt. Dwayne also added many performance parts, the most notable being:
- Keihin 38mm CR carbs
- TRAC swingarm
- Custom wheels using aluminum sun rims with stainless spokes
- Dual disk upgrade
- External oil cooler
- Vance and Hines exhaust
This bike isn't lacking the small details either. Dwayne had us Vapor Hone and powder coat parts all over this bike. The result is a bike that looks like it rolled off the line yesterday.
31,xxx miles and looks better than most new bikes. Take notes guys, this is how you care for a motorcycle. Dwayne also has a set of Ohlins waiting to go on this bike, go figure. If you come out to one of our shop rides this summer, maybe you'll catch a glimpse of Dwayne's beauty.
